OUR VISION is a community where all young adults feel valued.

OUR MISSION is to provide a welcoming, youth-centered environment that nurtures self-expression, fosters meaningful community interactions, and builds life skills.

OUR VALUES are:

BELONGING
We create an environment that is safe and welcoming to all – all races; ethnicities; sexual orientations; genders; faiths; political affiliations; physical, emotional and mental states; ages; and social and economic status.

RESPECT
We value all people and strive to meet everyone with acceptance, empathy, and understanding.

EXPRESSION
We promote voices and ideas, empowering exploration, creativity, and expression.

GROWTH
We celebrate the process of discovery, becoming, and acceptance, while strengthening integrity.

HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT
We encourage care of our minds, bodies, communities, and the earth around us.
Why SLP Nest?

SLP Nest is a place to gather, relax, and interact with peers and community through arts exploration in a welcoming, safe and supportive environment.
Teens today grow up in formal and organized settings without time or space to learn who they are and how to express themselves with confidence. Little time remains for relaxing and engaging with others. To the extent they do engage with friends, peers or the broader community, it is often through electronic and virtual media rather than in person.
Teens of SLP have told us they need more places and ways to pause, play with new ideas, and engage with each other informally. They need time and encouragement to figure out who they are and how they want to be in the world.
